Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel

Synopsis

The novel begins as a pandemic is about to descend on the world. Jeevan barely makes it out of Toronto alive as people quickly fall to the “Georgian flu”. Twenty years, later, a young actor named Kirsten is part of a troupe of players travelling and performing around the Great Lakes. The story winds through the histories of a number of characters as well as a set of graphic novels that hold the key to the connections between them.
